Yusuf / Cat Stevens North American tour is postponed due to visa issues

Yusuf / Catstevens has announced that his North American “Cat on the Road to Findout” tour will be postponed due to unspecified visa issues.

“Unfortunately, my” cat on the way to Findout “tour in the United States looks like it will not go on as planned in October,” wrote the singer/author in a statement.

“Wait months for visa approvals we kept as long as we could. But at this time the production logistics that are necessary for my show may not be arranged on time. I am really upset! Not least for my fans who have bought tickets and made travel plans to see me perform.

“North American audience can still get a chance to see the tour of Visa -approvals eventually come through. These dates would be a time away due to other travel tour plans, but hopefully the fans will be able to jump on the peace road sometime in the future.

“At the same time, Tour delays should not affect the book, which you can still enjoy … the obvious advantage of it being – books do not need a visa!”

Yusuf did not give any reason for visa delays, but given the current climate in the United States, it seems as possible that certain statements he made decades ago – in 1989, he publicly supported Ayatollah Khomeini’s calls to author Salman Rushdie too claimed to have a role.

The singer-songwriter (who Changed his name to yusuf islam after embracing the muslim faith), best known for his 1970s hits like “Morning Has Broken” and “Wild World,” Has sine Softedened His Stances and in 2020 Haim, Dave Matthews, Jacket, Jacket, Jacket, Jack, Jack John his songs at the Catsong Festival, was practically held during the pandemic.

Yusuf’s memoir “Cat on the road to findout” will be released in the UK on October 2.
