Whoopi Goldberg Passionately defended Beyoncés Grammy wins on “The View” (via Entertainment every week) After conservative figures expressed upset over the singer who won such major categories as the best country album with “cowboy carter”, which also took home the award for this year’s album. Conservative writer Raymond Arroyo went especially on Fox News “The Ingraham Angle” the evening after Gramm And ripped Beyoncé’s victories as a “ridiculous result.”
“The country artists are not really happy with this,” Arroyo claimed to host Laura Ingraham. “I will put this in some context Laura: Dolly Parton has 10 Grammys. Frank Sinatra had 11 Grammys. Beyoncé has 35. How is it possibly equivalent to that talent? I mean come on. ”
Goldberg turned off Arroyo on “The View” in the morning after taking the question with his claim that Beyoncé won the best country album and other Grammys because “Lady Gagas Cat sits votes for best reggae and best country album.”
“Sir, are you aware that you have to be in the music industry to be a Grammy voter? So, the cat sits can’t just vote, “Goldberg said. “Are you aware that when Grammys started in 1959 there were only 28 categories, now there are 94? The year that Frank Sinatra received six nominations even though he had two No. 1 albums, he only won one Grammy that night for his album cover – not even for his song, for the album cover. Listen, man. You can’t do it. She earned it. ”
Sinatra actually had four nominations at Grammy’s 1959, but Goldberg’s points remain. She criticized the author for holding “On Country Music that White People did not buy her country album” when “Cowboy Carter” was released last year.
“Come on, man! People voted for it. Sometimes you win, sometimes you don’t. Same with Oscars, ”Goldberg added. “Sit!”
