Concrete, like most materials, is taken for granted. Just look at the calm beauty of the gray stone slabs caught in Victor KossakovskyVisual art installation adjacent documentary ”Architecton. “They filmwhich premiered at the Berlinale 2024, centers at the legendary architect and designer Michele de Lucchi when the history of concrete is explored.
“Gunda” director Kosakovsky examines the effects of concrete on the environment, especially since the material cannot be recycled. The function extends over a war that is broken Ukraine to the Middle East, where concrete ruins of various kinds still stand after years of destruction. “Architecton” is a reflection on human relationship with architecture and making meaning with ruins, stones and yes, concrete. “Architecton” is also produced by A24, as recently impaired their DOC Division. Next in the works includes “Deathmatch”, a criminal documentary directed by “Talk to me” and “Bring Her Back” Helmers, Philippou Brothers.
Kosakovsky told indifire By 2020, he prefers to remove some classic film elements to emphasize emotional on screen. “I decided to eliminate music.
