Taylor Swift announces acoustic recordings such as bonuses for CD editions

Taylor Swift announced Saturday that she recorded eight tracks from ”Life on a showgirl“In acoustic versions with her co-producers Max Martin and Shellback, which will be shown on four CDs with a limited edition, which she has just added sale in her online store.

“Archive this under” Save your best for the final, “she wrote on her social media accounts.” I think my favorite moments from the tour were the acoustic surprises. So I went back into the studio with Max and Shellback to record acoustic/connected versions of some of the “Showgirl” songs with brand new song and production! Can’t wait for you to hear. ”

In addition to offering two acoustic bonus tracks each, the four CDs also have fresh cover images, several of which will recognize when it comes from photography for the new music video for “The Fate of Ophelia”, seen in cinemas this weekend and on Youtube from Sunday evening.

A CD, called “Life is a song acoustic version”, will include “Opalite (Life is a song acoustic version)” and “Ruin the Friendship (My Advice Version)” as the bonus tracks. Another, called “changing room repetition version”, will contain “wi $ h li $ t (definitely acoustic version)” and “The life of a showgirl (dressing room acoustic version).” A third, “Alone in My Tower Acoustic Version”, has “Fate for Ophelia (alone in my tower’s acoustic version)” and “Elder daughter (now you are at home acoustic version)” as its extra attractions. And the fourth new CD disc, “So Glamorous Cabaret version”, contains two versions of the same track, one of which is a voice memo -demo rather than a new recording: “Elizabeth Taylor (so glamorous cabaret version)” and “Elizabeth Taylor (original song Memo).”

The four CD editions were announced on her website “for 24 hours or as long as the deliveries last” and priced at $ 7.99 each.

Sales for these CDs should count on their first week sales, provided they will be sent in the coming week. As announced earlier on Saturday, Swift already sold 2.7 million copies of “Showgirl” on the first day, the second highest weekly for an album in Soundscan/Luminate History. If these CDs are pressed in high quantities, they can go any way towards helping it at all times at 3.4 million set by Adele’s “25” 2015.
