Stray Kids has reached a new career high and received his seventh no. 1 album on Billboard 200 with “karma.” With this latest triumph, Powerhouse K Pop Group now has the record for the most No. 1 albums on the chart in the century (Overting Industry Giants such as BTS, Linkin Park and Dave Matthew’s band).
The set received 313,000 album units in the United States during the week ending August 28, according to Luminate. In total, the third largest week, of units, is 2025 among all albums, as well as the second largest sales week of the year.
The 11-track project was introduced by the leading single “Ceremony” and, as each track on the album, was designed by the group’s internal production trio, 3racha. Impressive have all seven of Stray Kids posts on the album diagram debuted on No. 1, starting with “Oddinary” in 2022. When “Hop” topped the diagram in 2024, they made history as the first act ever debuted on No. 1 with their first six albums in the diagram’s 69-year-old history.
The over-voltage comes on the heels of the film’s Sing-long edition that meets both theaters and Netflix, as well as the long-awaited arrival of the soundtrack on CD. A wider CD roll -out is set for September 5, which is probably driven even more speed.
The set’s leading single, “Golden”, leads The Hot 100 for a third week, with Saja Boys “Your Idol” and “Soda Pop” who keeps on their respective slots at Nos 4 and 5, and “How it done” that shoots up to No. 9
As for the rest of the album diagram, Fluff Scores its first top 10 with No. 4 Arrival of “A Time of Time.” With 99,000 equivalent album units earned, the album is her highest sold, but thanks to its availability over eight vinyl and three CD variants (each with a signed version) and a cassette. Laufey will soon be published on a North American tour consisting of 26 stops and starts on September 15 in Orlando, FLA.
DEMONES LAND its seventh top 10 with No. 5 entrance to “Private music.” Getting 87,000 corresponding album units earned, “private music” earns the rock band their best week of units yet. Bigxthaplug notes its highest mapping album (47,000 units during its first week) with No. 7 debut “I hope you are happy.” The set has collaborations with Darius Rucker, Jelly Roll, Ink, Tucker Wetmore, Luke Combs and Thomas Rhett.
Elsewhere, Tyler, Creator’s “Cherry Bomb” goes back to the chart on No. 6 after a 10-year anniversary. The 2015 record received 52,000 corresponding album units during the week, with 51,000 credited album sales (the release contained a total of three vinyl variants, one CD and three deluxe box sets).
