Hundreds, if not thousands, of Tiktok Videos have been devoted to details Every aspect of her beauty looks. In fact, a quick search for “Sabrina Carpenter makeup” on the app reveals more than 114,000 videos.
But while a lot of attention has been dedicated to the “Espresso” singer’s favorite lip gloss or bronzer, the chart -top has a secret weapon in her beauty arsenal that has flew slightly under the radar: her long -lasting Aesthetic, Renee Rouleau.
For several years, Rouleau, which is based from Austin, Texas, has worked with the song stress to help her maintain a “perfect” skin, even when cycling through a cruel schedule with tours, photographs and red carpets.
Now the Skin-Care Pro and the Beauty founder share some of their best secrets to achieve a carpenter-worthy skin and she insists that they will not be found in the latest viral tikok. This is because Rouleau knows better than most that beauty is not A “a size fits all” industry. In fact, that is exactly the opposite.
Continue reading for three of her best skin tips.
Tip 1: See a professional
“I feel that people have really lost their way with the skin because they follow advice online, tictokers with product recommendations. But many of these people who market these products, they don’t know the skin and they really don’t know your Skin, says Rouleau.
“I think we take advice based on people we admire but don’t look at it and think,” Is that right for my skin? ”
Rouleau’s first advice for anywhere in the hope of replicating Carpenter’s skin is to get to know their own skin as intimately as possible, preferably with the help of a professional.
“It’s time to go back to the basics and people really need to learn their Skin type – What it needs, how it changes – and often this means that you are looking for an expert, such as an aesthetic who actually touches and feels skin and really feels skin, she explains.
For those who can’t see a professional aesthetic lead rouleau them to her recently renewed SPORT SPORTS WITH SINE TYPEwhich identifies nine different skin types and helps people choose the best products to address each.
Tip 2: Wear Foundation More
Among her other skin care secrets is one that may seem opposite, especially for those who have learned time and time again that the best way to maintain a healthy skin is to avoid makeup and let their skin breathe.
According to Rouleau, that is not the case. In fact, she tells her customers to “wear foundation makeup every day”, noting that it is one of the best ways to avoid premature skin.
“I think it’s a form of skin care,” she says. “As aesthetic, my job in theory is to get people’s skin so perfect that they never even have to wear makeup. And I will Get the skin so perfect. But I insist that people wear makeup because the foundation – even if it does not say it has a SPF – has iron oxides. And iron oxides are essentially similar to titanium dioxide, so they act as sunscreen. So it’s another layer of protection (against UV rays). ”
Of course, you should also wear sunscreen every day. Rouleau does not draw any blows when discussing the need for people to be better when it comes to protecting their skin from UV rays and saying that “nothing else will age skin faster.”
“Not smoking, not genetics, not even time,” she continues. “The main cause of premature aging is UV light to see your skin. Of course, you want to find (a foundation) that is compatible with your skin type and does not cause problems, such as eruption. But wear makeup every day.”
Tip 3: Follow “Golden Minute Rule” after cleaning
The third and last tip in her skincare rule is to follow something that Rouleau calls her “golden minute rule”, which means you are 60 seconds between washing your face and applying the next product in your routine.
“If you do not seal water, it will begin to evaporate through a process called osmosis,” she says. “Water attracts water like a magnet and this will actually pull water out of the skin and go up in the air so you dehydrate more. Especially if you are in a dry climate or during the winter.”
Of course, carpenters, as well as Rouleu’s other A-list clients that Demi LovatoMadelaine Petsch and Lili ReinhartHas some very specific skin care considerations to take into account as a result of their prominent positions in the industry.
They not only feel extra pressure to see “perfect” in front of the cameras, they also try to achieve a flawless skin while wearing heavy stage makeup and standing in front of dazzling lamps – a difficult performance at the best times.
But Rouleau says it is the “emotional” toll for this pressure that does the most damage and leaves some clients who feel self -conscious, even if their skin seems perfect for the outside world.
“They are constantly examined for every little thing and it makes them really self -conscious to know that the world will talk about them. There is a lot of pressure for skin perfection, so I think it is really difficult,” she says. “Warm lights, behavior and they want their skin to look perfect all the time, so they are someone who wears makeup all the time and they tend to carry it heavier as they in photos and out in the world try to hide every little thing there.”
