During a Golden Los Angeles Solce, Sabrina carpenter and Spotify Treated a selected group of pop star’s most dedicated fans for an evening at the stored Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
The exclusive event, held on Thursday evening, marked the evening by Carpenter’s seventh studio album, “Man’s best friend. “And when Twilight settled in, the singer writer took the scene for an intimate 30-minute conversation to make the record and set the scene for the premiere of her”Tears“Music Video – with Colman Domingo in move – and a nostalgic screening of Audrey Hepburn Classic 1954″ Sabrina. ”
More than just the last resting place, the cemetery serves as one of LA’s most unique cultural landmarks, which hosts everything from live concerts to cult favorite movies under the stars. “I used to come here and watch movies so I thought this would be a really special place to bring everyone,” Carpenter told fans in a question and answers that were moderated by “adult” actor Owen Thiele.
“And because I’m always like killing men,” she moved up and got rushing applause from fans sitting on blankets showing the album art. “This is like a funeral and that is also the birth of a new album.”
The 12-song set contains titles like “Manchild”, which is the leading single (and her first debut # 1 in the US), and others as “we almost broke up last night” and “Don’t worry, I will worry.”
“This creative process was about a kind of embrace of spontaneity, all about embracing impulses that I had and experiences I had that were really urgent to write about,” she said. “To know that if I didn’t make this album and have it to represent the chapter in my life that it represents, that it would have been transformed into something else … and I think it would have made it earn this album. So I’m really grateful for me to just write music I love and post it,”
Carpenter’s fans were as chatting as she was, an eagerly replied that she listed her favorite songs she has ever written. From her latest she chose “My husband on willpower” and “We almost broke up again.” She chose “Don’t Smile” from her Grammy winning “Short N ‘Sweet” LP, and got the highest applause when she named “because I liked a boy” from 2022’s “E-mails I can’t send.”
In the fan issue of the evening, a listener asked her how she gets out of the tracks, or how she helps herself to overcome all the feelings of self -doubt in relation to performing new music. With a moment to pause and think she continued: “I get so excited to put things out. But as all artists do … It’s also very scary and vulnerable. And so I think, I think when I want to get myself out of the box, I sort just like …” So many bitches wish they were you! “
Carpenter will perform these songs and more for his performances at the Austin City Limit Music Festival in October. She will also play Lollapalooza Chile, Argentina and Brazil next year.
