Famous Police guitarist Andy Summers Launches a new documentation that explores his signature instruments around the world. “Global guitar“Is an eight shared unwritten series where the summers will travel to different countries and learn how different cultures embrace the guitar.
Predicted as a multi -season franchise, “global guitar” will follow the summers on this worldly odyssey as he becomes more familiar with the instrument and its global impact. In addition to showing music from all over the world, production will capture Summer’s interactions with local musicians and learn more about the cultures through their common love for the instrument.
“This comes from a deeply authentic and personal space – an extension of something I have done all my adult life,” Summers said in a statement. I have always been interested in the music from other cultures and especially the guitar. It is definitely the main instrument in the world. Each culture has opened it and made something of its own. It is a very developing instrument that just never seems to stop. ”
The series is executive produced by Summers and is produced by the Bill Tables (“High School Musical”) and Mark Dziak (“Big Brother”, “Race to the center of the Earth”). Together, they bring their background in music, travel and reality TV to “Global Guitar.”
“We believe in the project and Andy’s authentic vision,” the tables said. “This is a series that we know must be done – something that has not done so to show how we are approaching it. We are convinced that it will find their way to interested audiences around the world.”
Todd Barasch and Christina Calio handle distribution for the series, which will be presented to potential buyers at Mipcom in October. The project aims to start filming in February and March next year.
