Oscars James Bond Tribute: Doja Cat, Blackpinks Lisa and Raye Sing Classic 007 Songs | Video

With Hollywood and England who still absorb the departure of Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson from James Bond -Franchisen, the Oscars paid tribute to 007’s long -standing managers with reproduction of three of the series’ classic themes.

After a dance sequence set to Monty Norman’s iconic ”Dr. No “Theme and with” The Substance “star Margaret Qualey, Blackpink member Lisa took the stage to perform Paul McCartney’s theme from” Live and Let Die “, 51 years after it was first performed on the Oscar scene by Connie Stevens.

She was followed by Doja Cat with a cover by Shirley Bassey’s “Diamonds are Forever”, taken from Sean Connery’s final Bond movie. Finally, the Raye took the scene to perform Adele’s Oscar-winning theme from “Skyfall”.

In November last year, Barbara received Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson Academy Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award for their decades of work responsible for Eon productions. The producers’ father and Bond series founder Albert R. Broccoli received the Thalberg Award in 1981.

Wilson and Broccoli took over to run the Bond series from their father, which began with Pierce Brosnan’s debut film “Goldeneye” in 1995. Thirty years and nine films later they have handed creative control over to Amazon Studios in a historical sale that ends their family’s six-December government over the UK’s most famous contribution to the cinema.
