Miley Cyrus continues Her “something beautiful” era with the announcement that the Deluxe edition of her ninth album will be released on Friday.
In a teaser published on social media, Cyrus revealed that in addition to the Standard 13 tracks, the project will contain two new songs: “Secrets” with Lindsey Buckingham and Mick Fleetwood and “Lockdown” with David Byrne.
“Secrets” was previously annoyed by Billy Ray Cyrus in August, when he published an excerpt of the track and said she had written the song as a birthday present for him. “For my birthday, Miley gave me the gift of music and wrote me a song called Secrets and got my favorite musician Fleetwood Mac to play on it! I love you mile ❤,” he wrote. Just yesterday, Cyrus previewed the song by sharing a clip on social.
Cyrus initially released “Something Beautiful” in May, with contributions from Kid Harpoon, Michael Pollack, Maxx Morando, Shawn Everett and more. The experimental record was accompanied by a movie directed by Cyrus, Brendan Walter and Jacob Bixenman, who debuted in June at the Tribeca Film Festival. The film was later released only in theaters for one night. After the publication, “something beautiful” debuted at No. 4 at Billboard 200.
To coincide with the album’s release, Cyrus arranged some intimate show at Los Angeles’ Chateau Marmont and Maxim’s de Paris. While she was in France, she showed up as a special guest at Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter” tour for the live debut by their Grammy winning duet “II Most Wanted.”
