Six years after his death, Pittsburgh-based rapper Mac Miller posthumously appear on top of Billboard 200 with the “Balloonism, ” A 14-song set that goes back to 2014. Debuts on No. 3, “Balloonism” gives Miller his eighth performance in the top five in the list of 81,000 corresponding album units earned.
“Balloonism” is Miller’s second posthuma album – “Circles”, arrived at No. 3 on Billboard 200 when it was released in 2020 – the tip of his property. In a post on social media in the last November, the estate described the project as “of great importance to Malcolm – to the extent he ordered artwork for it and discussions about when it was released had regularly, but finally” go: OD AM “and subsequent albums ended by representing. ”
Miller also launched four songs on this week’s threat 100: “Funny paper” on No. 77, “$ 5 Pony Rides” (a leading single was released January 17) on No. 85, “DJ’s Chord Organ” with SZA at No. 95, and “Stoned” on No. 97.
Miller, who died at the age of 26, burst on stage in 2011 with his hip-hop debut, “Blue Slide Park.” The latter debuted on No. 1 on the album diagram, Miller’s highest chart effort so far and made history as the first independent distributed debut album to top the chart since 1995.

The first new No. 1 album of the year, Lil Baby’s “Wham”, slides to No. 7; Morgan Wallen’s “One Thing at Tome” is on No. 8; Billie Eilish’s “Hit Me Hard and Soft” is on No. 9, and Taylor Swifts “The Tortured Poets Department” rounds off the top of No. 10.
