Lil Wayne has officially announced His upcoming album “Tha Carter Vi”, arrives on June 6.
The rapper made waves earlier today when he teased the new project at the end of a Super Bowl ad for Cetaphil. Although it was unclear if it meant that the album would officially arrive this summer, his label Republic Records and Young Money later confirmed that Wayne is about to release the next part of its iconic “Carter” series in a few months.
Wayne’s performance in the Super Bowl ad gesture against his disappointment when he did not perform during this year’s half -time show, which will instead contain Kendrick Lamar. Social media quickly pointed out that Wayne should have been booked for the track in his original New Orleans, which he points to fun in the advertising as the touts tag line “We are all a Lil sensitive.”
