Katy Perry Coming home. Well, type.
Almost eight years ago, when Perry put a cap on his “Witness” tour, the singer unintentionally left the scene as a traveling headliner for the last time. A global pandemic and the birth of her and Orlando Bloom’s daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, sent Perry on an unplanned break. But in just three months, Perry will be back on the road and bring his pop classics to arenas and scenes all over the world.
After selling out the “The Lifetimes Tour” on four continents, Perry has revealed plans to perform a solemn set – a “party for both eyes and ears,” says Perry Amount – For her fans in the United States.
“It’s a greater experience than life,” says Perry about the 70-plus shows she is determined to deliver. “For over 17 years (my fans and I) have grown up together. They have their own lives, they have children, they have careers, they fulfill their dreams. So see them still come out and answer this … I Didn’t expect it and I can’t wait to give back to them. ”
The hike will stay in several American cities starting in Houston, Texas on May 7 at the Toyota Center, and for the first time since 2018 Perry will lead his own show in Los Angeles at Kia Forum (July 15) and Madison Square Garden in New York City (August 11).
Although “The Lifetimes Tour” will “draw from her extensive catalog”, Perry also wants to spread the message she built into “143”: “I want people to feel that their territory is unique and special, and that is why I had to go to some of these territories while you announce them, “she explains.” Everything I do has been specific because I want the fans to feel special … When your favorite singers come to your city it is special that they have chosen this city to come to. I use everything I’ve learned on the road to give people a place to connect and find community. ”
Perry’s legions of fans are all -encompassing. When she previewed the “The Lifetimes Tour” with a spicy and high -tech show at Rock in Rio in September, the same day she released “143”, a sea of 100,000 people sang feverishly with. It is a symbiotic relationship, with some songs like “roar” and “power” as personal mantra, which relies on Perry’s lyrics and powerful song to get through everyday frustrations or deeply rooted emotional turbulence.
When Perry closed Inauguration Day Celebrating America concert in 2021, she surprised the fans with a lush performance of her hit “Firework” from 2010.
“At that time, I think, we were not very united, so it’s a similar type of feeling today. (‘Fireworks’) really capsules my message that everyone has a spark. It doesn’t matter where you come from What political conviction you have – it doesn’t matter when all you want is to find what your purpose is and to realize your dreams. I think it is an American way of being. ”
Perry put on Wonder Woman -like uniform on Rock in Rio and ran through his most famous singles – “California Gurls” and “ET”, especially including a lot of songs from her 2020 albums, “Smile” and her latest, “143 ” Visually relied on the show a lot on futuristic themes, supernatural technology and its impact on human connection.
“I definitely push the boundaries with these concerts,” she says. “I always press my team to develop something that is not to help me develop something that has never been seen or heard.”
“I also feel the responsibility to give my audience the songs they can,” Perry adds. “I’m there to let them take part in nostalgia … I really just want to feedback. I want to lock my eyes with my fans. It has been a minute and I feel very full of love. I flood by it.”
