Hugh Jackman, Cyndi Lauper, Diana Ross, More


La Phil announced the entire set up for his summer season 2025 at Hollywood Bowl Tuesday morning, with big names like Hugh JackmanJuanes, Cyndi Lauper and Diana Ross included in the schedule, along with a concert emission of “Jesus Christ superstar“It will have Cynthia Erivo cast against gender type in the musical title role.

Jackman will perform on the season’s official opening evening, only one night (June 17). “Jesus Christ Superstar” will have a three-night stand (August 1-3).

Other popular artists leading the bowl this summer include Earth Wind & Fire (for the annual fireworks spectacularly July 2-4), Rhiannon Giddens (June 18), Juanes (July 16), John Fogerty (July 6), Miss Ross (July 25 -26), King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard accompanied by Hollywood Bowl Orchestra (August 10), a Reunited Alabama Shakes (August 13), Current Rock & Roll of Fame Nominee Lauper (August 29-30), Josh Groban (September 5-6), air with Hollywood Bowl Orchestra (September 21), Big Thief (September 27) and and John Legend (September 28).

The bowl’s summer bill also includes Herbie Hancock, Damian and Stephen Marley, Dave Koz, a double bill by Hiatus Kaiyote and Snarky Puppy, the Latin alternative collaboration project Astropical, Chicago, Sir, Wizkid, a double bill by Charlie Wilson and Babyfa, tribute and an 80’s quadruple Count of Rick Springfield, John Waite, Wang Chung and Paul Young. The previously announced Roots Picnic on June 8 will include Lil Kim, Method Man & Redman, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, DJ Quik, Raekwon, E-40, Goodie Mob and Havoc from Mobb Deep.

(La Phil range of stars at the bowl does not include the so-called rental programs for large documents exposed by external producers, which are announced separately.)

On the symphonic front, Gustavo Dudamel returns for his 16th season at the bowl and conducts eight performances in August with Los Angeles Philharmonic Like Venezuela’s Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra.

Film music crossover will once again be celebrated with live-to-image performances by John Williams’ points for “Jaws” (July 5) and “Jurassic Park” (August 8-9), performed by David Newman and Dudamel at the top of the annual rocky “Maestro of the Movies” tribute to Williams (August 22-24), with Newman at the helm.

Another top movie component, Alexander Desplat, will have a spotlight moment (JLY 15), which leads a program with excerpts from movie results ranging from “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” and “The Shape of Water” to his ongoing work with Wes Anderson (July 16).

The Blue Note Jazz Festival, which replaces the Playboy Jazz Festival of Yore, will take place June 14-15 and include sets of De la Soul, Grace Jones, Willow, Isley Brothers, Stanley Clarke, Keyon Harrold and many others.

Among other minor pop-loan performances, the bowl will contain Angélique Kidjo and Yo-Yo Ma (August 28), Wynton Marsalis with La Phil (September 9), “Bugs Bunny at the Symphony” (July 11-12), Marcus Miller- Music -directed “Black Music Soundtrack V” (September 10) and the annual “Sound of Music” song (September 20).

Easy ticket sales for most exhibitions start at Bowl Box Office May 6. But of course there will be opportunities to buy subscription or group packages long before that date, along with some programs that have previous individual dates on sale.

New subscriptions and group sales for selected individual concerts both went on sale Tuesday morning, at the same time as the announcement. “Create your own” packages will be sold March 25 at. 10.00.

Roots the picnic experience went on sale last week. Tickets for Jackman’s opening evening show will be sold on Thursday at 10.00 Alabama Shakes show goes on sale February 28. Tickets go up to the Blue Note Jazz Festival on March 4. And for everything else, for those who want individual tickets and not a package, it will be a two and a half month wait until May 6, when everything is to take hold in the public.
