Music supervisor behind the songs of “Wicked” and “A Complete Unknown” led the winners at the 15th annual Guild of Music Supervis’s Awards On Sunday evening.
On the TV side, the music supervisors behind “Agatha all the time” and “Baby Reindeer” won.
Stephen Schwartz was awarded the Icon Award to celebrate his contributions to the music and film industry. The composer and the lyricist performed his song “Beautiful City” on stage from his musical “Godspell.”
Oscar -Nominated Abraham Alexander and Adrian Quesada performed their nominated song “Like a Bird” from “Sing Sing”, which took the award for best song written and/or recorded for a movie. At the same time, Danielle Ponder presented her nominated song “Egún” from Apple TV’s “Manhunt”, and the artist’s role model performed his song “Sally, When The Wine runs out” as tonight’s spotlight artist.
The music producer and supervisor Bonnie Greenberg accepted the Legacy Award for his outstanding career in music surveillance.
Steve Schnur, music supervisor and CEO of EA Games, dominated the evening with two wins for his work with the video game, “Dragon Age: The Vilguard.”
The event was produced by the Guild of Music Supervis’s Awards Production Committee: President Lindsay Wolfington, Vice President Heather Guibert, Janet Lopez, Priya Autrey and Joel C High. The show production was handled by Angelia Shepperd from ABS Collective with talent producer Julie Donsky and technical poduction by Nick Urbom from Big Push Media Group.
