As expectation grows for the last season of ”Stranger Things“Star Finn Wolfhard Has erected another project that will take him back to the 80s.
The leading man “IT” and “Ghostbusters” collaborate with his father, Eric Wolfhard, and producer Rich PEETE to bring Bob Mehr’s acclaimed biography “Trouble Boys: The True Story of substitute“To the big screen.
The father and son will write the script, with PEETE that produces “Trouble Boys” under his neighborhood banks. PEETA recently collaborated with the Caa-Rapped Finn Wolfhard on A24’s “The legend of and in“Which made his world premiere at Sundance Earlier this year.
Published in 2016, “Trouble Boys” is generally regarded as the definitive crown for the replacements, the legendary Minneapolis punk band known to shape American Alternative Rock. While the band’s influence was undeniable, after paved the way for the 90s stadium filling Nirvana and Green Day, the original members Paul Westerberg, Bob Stinson, Tommy Stinson and Chris Mars were often in the middle of drama. Lorne Michaels forbade them to ever return to “Saturday Night Live” after a self -sabotaging pathway performance in 1986 that signaled the band’s upcoming case. (Westerberg returned to “SNL” as a solo artist in 1993.)
Written by Bob Mehr, a veteran music critic and Grammy-winning Essayist, “Trouble Boys” became a New York Times best seller and received book-of-the-year awards from NPR and Rolling Stone.
The project marks another move behind the camera for Finn Wolfhard, who recently collaborated, collaborated and co-produced the Neon Horror movie “Hell of a Summer” together with Billy Bryk. At the same time, he has made serious intrusion into the music space and is currently on his first solo tour tied to his debut album “Happy Birthday.” The fifth and final season of “Stranger Things” will be launched on Netflix on November 26 and will roll out incrementally rather than Binge style and pack on New Year’s Eve.
In a new one Amount Cover historyThe multi-hyphenated talked about working with his father on a secret music-theme project at home in Vancouver. “I have written a lot of music and written this movie with my dad, which has been really fantastic,” Wolfhard said about how he had spent his time since the production wrapped on “Stranger Things” in December. “It’s about a band that I think strange that I have a lot in common, many of the members. I can’t really talk about the actual band because I don’t officially have the rights yet.”
The father and son are returned by Venture Entertainment Partners and the law firm Jackoway Austen Tyerman Wertheimer Mandelbaum Morris Bernstein Trattner & Klein. Finn Wolfhard is also handled by Jill Fritzo PR.
PEETE – who is in prep on Jeremy Saulniers A24 horror movie “October”, which starts shooting this month – and the neighborhood is handled by lawyers at Granderson des Rochers. Mehr is represented by CAA and Witnessme PR.
