The horror genre has flourished for a number of years now, with some of the best horror movies returns to theaters as a result. That includes mainstream titles like Scream, as well as more indie properties like Damien Leone’s Scary. When it was released, Horror 2 made headlines to make people vomit at the theaters. The first trailer for Horror 3 watching Art The Clown play with blood for Christmas, and I’m bringing a barf bag to see it.
What we know about Horror 3 is limited, but the franchise will mix its terrifying villain Art with Christmas. The third Scary the film was moved up a few weeks until October, and this first trailer is an unsettling glimpse of what’s to come… including art that turns snow angels into blood.
This is more of a teaser than a full trailer, so the actual plot points upcoming horror movie remains a mystery for now. But the threequel will have a holiday season twist, with Art The Clown terrorizing the residents of Miles County on Christmas Eve. And from the short clips, it looks like it’s going to be just as bloody and disturbing as its predecessors (which stream with a Peacock subscription).
The Scary franchise is synonymous with making people sick because of its extreme misery. The second film has plenty of disturbing scenes, but there is one particularly sickening death, where Art The Clown mutilates and scalps a victim and then proceeds to pour bleach and salt on her wounds. It sure makes your stomach rumble, and Damien Leone has teased it Horror 3 has another disturbing death which may inspire the audience to vomit. Instead of taped popcorn buckets, perhaps major theaters will offer themed barf bags to audiences before they begin their screenings of the upcoming horror flick.
Terrors 3 isn’t the first horror film to be set around the holiday season, as there’s something uniquely terrifying about watching Christmas turn into a bloody affair. Some similar titles include Black Christmas, Krampusand It is a wonderful knife. But all those titles will likely pale in comparison to it Scary threequel, which looks set to be a very bloody affair.
Art the Clown is a scary horror villain because of his brutality, but also because of how much joy he seems to find in brutally torturing and eventually killing his victims. I have to assume the third Scary the film will lean into Christmas of all things, likely including holiday themes or decorations in his killing spree. Luckily, we won’t have to wait too much longer to find out.
Horror 3 expected to hit theaters on October 11. In the meantime, check 2025 movie release date.
