I’ll admit it: I’ve never been a fan of Dry shampoo. Since my very first attempt a year ago, I have always thought that nothing could replace shine, softness and actually pure feeling of freshly washed hair. For me, dry shampoo was type of fraud – it left a white role, made my hair crispy and had an overwhelming scent that made me want to wash it within a few hours. It was until I tried Color wow insta-wow advanced dry shampoo ($ 32), and let me tell you, I’m a changed woman.

To understand why this is so big, you should know a little about my routine. I am a shopping editor and also run my own clothing brand NushusWhich means my schedule in New York is direct. My way of stressing is separated at Corepower Hot Sculpt classes four to five times a week in 95-degree rooms. As you can imagine, my hair is soaked every time. Within minutes, my hair felt softer, smelled fresh (not too perfumed, just clean) and even had a fluffy, voluminous structure instead of seeing licked back with sweat. The best part? No white role. My hair looked natural and felt tougher, not stiff or sticky.

What does Color Wow insta-wow advanced dry shampoo do different?

Unlike traditional formulas that only sit on top of oil, insta-wow uses active cleaning technology. Basically, it dissolves oil in microdrops (as a real shampoo would do), while ultrafine starch absorbs the rest and allows the oil to brush out of the hair. The result is the hair that feels really updated, silky, soft and clean, instead of weighing or chalk.

I will say, Styling with hot tools For a completely finished look is still necessary (my bun left my ends looks a bit funky), but overall, this product completely changed my perspective on dry shampoo. It not only masked the sweat, it actually updated my hair enough because I could run my hands through it safely.

So yes, I might just use this more than I would like to admit. For someone who thought dry shampoo was useless, it says a lot.
