The set up for Brandi Carlel7th annual Girls just want to weekend in Mexico has been revealed, with the chickens and Sam Smith Join the values as co-headliners for the collection January 15-19 2026.
Others will play the festival, which radiates women or non -binar artists during four days of music, includes Lucius, Joy Oladokun, CMAT, Allison Ponthier, Jensen McRae, Latterings, Jasmine.4.t, Autumn Nichols, Arroba Nat, The Carly Band and Marshgggs and Marshgays and Marshgays.
Also promised is a titans in the American set, which will contain some special guests who are not yet announced). Comedian Kristin Key, a big hit on the 2025 edition of the festival, will return for 2026.
Smith is the first girls who just want the weekend head to rock a full set of facial hair, but as their fans and most followers of pop music know, the artist came out as non-binary in 2019. Smith’s inclusion marks a new milestone for inclusion at the top of the bill, given the festival’s commitment to not just represent female and non-binding artists.
The last winter’s show had Shania Twain, Muna and Maren Morris as Carliles Co-Headliners, with Brandy Clark and others as support. Others who have done the festival for the first six years include Sarah McLachlan, Janelle Monae, Sheryl Crow, Indigo Girls, Sara Bareilles, Tanya Tucker, Wynonna, Yola, Wendy & Lisa, Patty Griffin, Allison Russell and Celisse.
The festival takes place at Mexicos Barceló Maya Resort. Ticket packages for the 100x hospitality -produced festival are all -inclusive, including accommodation and food and drinks as well as nightly concerts, afternoon performance, seminars, workshops and some excursions outside the site.
Presence at the festival tends to be mostly – but far from completely – female or non -binäs. Advertising material describes “a welcoming environment for the predominantly LGBTQ+ audience”, although GJWW also draws a significant contingent of straight participants.
Carlle has her first album in four years, “returning to me”, which comes in October. At the last January festival, during one of her two weekend performances, the artist premiered for materials she had just recorded for the album and asked the audience not to film it, which they followed.
