After a slight postponement, the Academy Awards will get back on track Thursday when Bowen Yang and Rachel Sennott announce the nominees for the 97th Academy Awards.
Starting at 5:30 a.m. PST, the “Wicked” actor and “Bottoms” actress will reveal the nominees for all 23 categories via live stream and on social media. The nominations were originally intended to be read on January 17, but was postponed due to the wildfires in Los Angeles.
The final voting starts from February 11 to February 18. Conan O’Brien will then host (for the first time) on March 2nd. Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan are producing.
In addition to postponing the initial announcement of nominations, the 2025 Oscar Nominees Luncheon has been canceled entirely, according to AMPAS.
Yang is known for her work on “Saturday Night Live” as well as her “Las Culturistas” podcast with Matt Rogers, while Sennott has starred in “Shiva Baby,” “Bodies Bodies Bodies,” “I Used to Be Funny” and ” Saturday night.” The couple’s upcoming gig as Oscar-nominated announcers was first revealed on “Good Morning America” early Tuesday.
The 97th Academy Awards will air live March 2 on ABC and Hulu.
