TS too characterized as a tic disorderusually diagnosed in childhood and often characterized by involuntary sounds and movements called tics. Tics can appear as sudden blinking, head jerking, jumping, grunting, whistling, animal noises, tongue clicking, and in some cases swearing.
Research shows that persistent tic disorders (including Tourette syndrome) may affect approximately 1.4 million people in the United States. In recent years have celebrities like Lewis Capaldi have drawn more attention to the condition by sharing their experiences with TS, helping to destigmatize the disease and increase representation.
However, Capaldi is not the only celebrity talking about TS. Billie Eilish, Seth Rogan and many other celebrities have also been open about their experiences with the condition.
