Which White Lotus Season 3 actors will receive Emmy nominations?

Fans of “The White Lotus” Looking forward to the season finale of Mike White’s Twisted HBO series on Sunday evening – but for actors from other series in the hope of being recognized in the support categories at this year’s Emmy Awards, it can be a sober night.

This is because season 3 of the series has already spent seven hours spinning juicy stories for a wide range of actors, including Walton Goggins, Aimee Lou Wood, Parker Posey, Jason Isaacs, Carrie Coon, Natasha Rothwell and Sam Rockwell. If the final does justice against the madness that filled the first seven episodes, it will be very difficult to prevent Emmy voters from doing what they did after season 1 and season 2 in the series, when the support categories were clogged with “White Lotus” performers for the exclusion of almost all others.

For its first season 2022, when the show was classified as a limited series, “The White Lotus” placed three actors among the seven nominees in the outstanding support actor in a limited or anthology series or category of film, and a remarkable five of the seven in the supporting actress.

Ten artists, almost the entire lead role, were submitted for Emmy -overpatient that year; All are stated in the supportive categories and eight of them were nominated: Murray Bartlett, Jake Lacy, Steve Zahn, Connie Britton, Jennifer Coolidge, Alexandra Daddario, Natasha Rothwell and Sydney Sweney, with Bartlet and Coolidge Winning. (Fred Hechinger and Brittany O’gradty were the only “White Lotus” actors submitted but not nominated.)

The following year, after the show had moved to the seemingly more competitive drama categories, made it even better. With 15 actors submitted nine nominated. F. Murray Abraham, Michael Imperioli, Theo James and Will Sharpe took hold of half of the eight places for outstanding support actors in a category for drama series, with “succession” that took the other four. Coolidge, Meghann Fahy, Sabrina Impaccciatre, Aubrey Plaza and Simona Tabasco gave “The White Lotus” five of the eight supportive actress nominated, and Coolidge won again.

That track record puts “The White Lotus” along with “The West Wing”, “Hill Street Blues”, “The Handmaid’s Tale” and “Game of Thrones” among a small group of shows that repeatedly shot the nominations in the supporting categories. And the success of the program in both the limited series and drama categories indicates that despite the competition from shows such as “Severance”, “The Last of Us”, “Slow Horses”, “Diplomat” and others, it is stupid to invest against someone who hung with Mike White in Thailand.

But who will do the cut and who will be omitted? There are almost 20 “white lotus” actors with at least one external chance to nominate, and they can’t all fit. Categories at Emmys are determined by the number of justified items, and it is likely that the supportive drama categories will meet the maximum eight nominees, which they have done over four of the past five years. (One exception was last year, when production delays caused by pandemic and strikes reduced the number of eligible shows and led to seven nominees in each category.)

Assumption that the categories will be on eight, two “White Lotus” actors and four actresses seem to be clear favorites for nominations: Walton Goggins and Aimee Lou Wood as a haunted, anti -social man and his younger, happier girlfriend; Carrie Coon as a separate lawyer on a girl trip; Jason Isaacs and Parker Pose Ratliffs, as a rich North Carolina pair facing economic collapse; And Natasha Rothwell repaired her role as spa manager from Season 1. Sam Rockwell did not even show up until section 5 in his role as a reformed wild man, but he had the most viral monologue of the season, which is probably enough to get him in as well.

But nominations for Goggins, Isaacs and Rockwell in the Supporting Actor and Coon category, Posey, Rothwell and Wood to support the actress would be fewer noms than “The White Lotus” which received for season 2. To meet the season’s total supporting nominees, you probably have to add Leslibb (one of Lesliee (one of Lesliee (one of Lesliene BiBB (one of the season).

And then there is a wide selection of dark horse candidates who could very well draw a surprise, starting with Michelle Monaghan as a TV star, Sarah Catherine Hook as a Ratliffdotter on a spiritual assignment, Sam Nivola as her younger brother and Tayme Thapthimtong as a blavid security. A murderer final episode can give a Boost for Jon Grie’s, another veteran from previous seasons that was under the radar during much of the season but is positioned to increase their profile in the final. Ditto for Scott Glenn as the mysterious Jim Hollinger, who can become a strong guest actor candidate about his and goggin characters have another generally expected showdown.

Then there is Lalisa Manobal, a huge Thai pop star that makes her actors like a spa employee; Charlotte Le Bon, who went into the role of an ex-model at the last minute; And Christian Friedel, who wins, points to moving from his lead role as a Nazi concentration camp in “The Zone of Interest” to its part as Nebbishy Resort Manager in “The White Lotus.”

It is enough to make life difficult for Allison Janney, Kaitlyn Dever, Patricia Arquette, Julianne Nicholson, Kristin Scott Thomas, John Turturro, Jack Lowden, Tramell Tillman, Jeffrey Wright, Jonathan Pryce, James Marsden and other spectators. Do not go into a battle against a Mike White role without coming a little blue -marked and beaten.
