The 33rd annual Broadcasting+Cable Hall of Fame will introduce 14 new honorees in their 2025 cohort, including Drew Barrymore, “Abbott Elementary” star Sheryl Lee Ralph and Paramount Co-Cee George Cheeks.
This year, the organization will also present the iconic show award to the long-term day drama “Days of our lives” when the show celebrates its 60th anniversary in November. ESPN chairman Jimmy Pitaro will receive Hall of Fame’s chairman for Disney’s platforms all over the world, and Emmy-Prize-winning actress and producer Sheryl Lee Ralph will be honored with the organization’s humanitarian award for its philanthropic work with Diva Foundation.
“Broadcasting+Cable Hall of Fame is proud to recognize this extraordinary group of leaders, innovators and creative pioneers who have shaped the media landscape in a deep way,” said Charlie Weiss, chairman of Broadcasting+Cable Hall of Fame. “Every Honoree has not only distinguished itself in its area but has also driven meaningful change throughout the industry.”
The 33rd annual gala Will also contain Lionsgates Sandra Stern and AMC’s Kristin Dolan among others. The gala will honor its new class on Tuesday, September 30 at New York’s Ziegfeld Ballroom.
Part of the proceeds from the gala will be donated to Broadcaster’s Foundation of America, a charity that provides anonymous financial contributions to our industry colleagues and their families who are in urgent need due to critical illness or accident, advanced age, death of a spouse or other serious accident.
