In a long rumored trait, Cindy Mabe has resigned from its position as chairman and CEO of Universal Music Nashville After almost 18 years with the company and two in the role confirms several sources to Amount. Mabe took the role in April 2023, a few months after Long -term CEO Mike together announced their pension. She was the first woman to serve as head of a large label group in Nashville.
Her successor was not immediately announced.
Mabe began his career at RCA Records in Nashville before moving to Arista. She joined Capitol Nashville 2007 – where she first worked with her predecessor, Mike Dungan – as a senior VP for marketing and moved to UMG Nashville when the companies were merged in 2012 and was appointed president two years later.
Mabe was appointed as the president’s position in 2014, two years after the Dunga was appointed chairman/CEO. Their professional association went back to 2008, when the two first started working together on the Capitol Nashville label. Together, they established a two -person dynasty at the head of Universal Nashville that lasted until the dough went out two years ago.
