Black Sabbath Has announced what is invoiced as the “last” show by their original range – Ozzy Osbourne, Tony iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward – an advantage with the title “Back to the beginning” in their hometown Birmingham, England, which takes place in July 5 at the city’s villa park.
To behave in “back to beginning” will be MetalSlayer, Pantera, Gojira, Halestorm, Alice in Chains, Lamb of God, Anthrax, Mastodon and a super group with Guns N ‘Roses’ Slash, Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan, Korn’s Jonathan Davis, Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst, Wolgangan van Rage against the machine’s Tom Morello, who will also act as musical manager of the concert.
All winnings from the show will be shared equally between Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorn Children’s Hospice.
It will highlight the first time the original lineup has performed together in 20 years. Vocalist Ozzy Osbourne, who have suffered a number of illnesses It has made him cancel shows in recent years, will play his own short set before joining Black Sabbath for his last bow. Morello added, “It will be the biggest heavy metal concert ever.”
The Sabbath was formed in Birmingham in 1968 and is universally regarded as the godfather to heavy metal and has sold more than 75 million albums all over the world during his career. Still, their influence even exceeds these record sales – almost every hard rock band since the 1970s has its mark.
All winnings will go to the following charities: Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorn’s Children’s Hospice, a child’s hospice supported by Aston Villa.
