I had the original Airpods and never took them out of my ears – until I was gifted the second generation pro model. And really, wow. This model has silicone ear buds, which are so much more convenient to wear for long periods. In addition, they do not slip out of their ear, not even on your sweatest runs. I have them in when I write this, and sometimes I forget they are in my ears.

However, the real advantage for this gadget is the sound quality. Airpods Pro has three settings: normal, transparency mode and noise reduction. The noise canaling mode is a gaming exchanger. I wore them on a plane, and it was like being in another world. I couldn’t hear anything except my music, and that’s the dream. Then there is transparency mode, which was built for those times when you want to listen to your music but also have to be aware of your surroundings. It makes my mom feel much better to know that I go through the city that can still hear what is happening around me.
