Theo vonComedians and host the popular podcast “The last weekend”, opposed a video published by the Trump administration’s homeland security department, which uses an excerpt of him that says: “Heard that you were deported, guy – by” to promote the agency’s deportation number.
On Wednesday, DHS split one 31-seconds videos on x With the caption “Hello”. It starts with Von’s comment since the claim shows that 2 million illegal immigrants have been deported during the first 150 days by President Trump’s second term. It also shows that Trump says: “They simply stopped coming. They are no longer coming,” before they end with text on the screen that says “leave now” over a plane at start.
“Yooo DHS I did not approve to be used in this,” von wrote on x On Wednesday evening, the DHS post quotes with the video. “I know you know my address so send a check. And take this down and keep me out of your” banger “deportation films.”
Von continued, “When it comes to immigration, my thoughts and heart are much more nuanced than this video allows. Bye!”
Reps for DHS did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
At his podcast, von has hosted such guests from all sides of the political time, including Donald Trump, JD Vance, Mark Cuban, Bernie Sanders, Tucker Carlson, Joe Rogan and colleagues Shane Gillis, Nikki Glaser and Pete Davidson. Von has two stand-up comedy special offers on Netflix, “Regular People” (2021) and “No Offense” (2016).
Von, along with David Spade, plays and produces Buddy-Comedy Movie “Busboys,” As they wrote and are self -financing. The film is in an Arizona Border Town and follows “David” and “Theo”, two friends who “think it will solve all their problems. They are wrong,” according to the log line. Von repped by WME.
