Camille Hackney joins primary wave music, the company grows brand department


Powerhouse Publishing Company Primary wave music Expands its brand department with the employment of the former top Atlantic Records Exec Camille Hackney as head of brand partnership, based on the company’s New York office, and Bart Lase as a senior VP, based in Los Angeles.

In addition, the trademark division’s Sam SKLOVER has been promoted to VP for trademark partnership in New York.

Hackney and saunt join Primary wave music As the number of iconic catalogs in its list continues to grow, including currently including Bob Marley, Prince, Stevie Nicks, Notorious Big, James Brown, The Doors, Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, Smokey Robinson, Whitney Houston, Ray Charles and many more.

Hackney previously worked over several Warner Music Group labels, including Eastwest Records, Elektra Entertainment Group, and last ended two decades with Atlantic Records, such as Chief Partnerships Officer & Head of Global Brand Partnerships Council For Warner Music Group in New York. Over the years, she has built and completed large partnership programs with the Fortune 500 brands that include American Express, Pepsi/Frito Lay’s, Google, Stellantis, Apple, Citibank, Starbucks, AT&T, Puma, LVMH, Samsung and SC Johnson. Her work also included the development of programs with large sporting leagues such as NBA, NFL, NHL and NCAA.

Saunt provides over 25 years of experience to Primary Wave, after working in brand partnership in building innovation campaigns for legendary and contemporary artists. In his previous role at the Universal Music Group, he led expansion to brand licenses and set a basis for broader partnerships that followed. Throughout his career, Lone has effectively collaborated with the companies’ brands to support catalogs that included Bob Marley, The Beatles, Velvet Underground, Bon Jovi, The Beach Boys, Alice Cooper, Tony Bennett, Robbie Robertson, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and brands as Sonos, Sonos, Sonos, Sonos, Bulova.

“Bart has already proven to be a good addition with his early contributions to the company and puts profits on the board from the first day,” says Straughn. He continues, “we are lucky to have him in the team”.

In just over six years at Primary Wave, Sklover has ensured collaborations with Prince for Airbnb and Boyz II men for Chilis, as well as business with McDonald’s, Adidas, Narragansett Beer and others. Sam’s eclectic, in -depth music knowledge continues to provide value to the brand department and has contributed significantly to its growth in the team.

“After seeing Sam’s growth and maturity over the past five years, it was an easy decision to promote him,” Strughn says. He continues, “It has been incredible to see him lead these incredible campaigns and continue to build relationships with brands all over the world.”
