The movie Stars Comes ArnettWho also wrote the film, as a New York City stand-up comedian who has a Midlife crisis after a split from his wife, played by Laura Dern. The film is loosely based on the experience of British comedian John Bishop and is framed as a love letter to Big Apple, and was shot around the city by Cooper’s Cinematographer on “A star was born” and “Maestro”, Matthew Libatique, which returns as DP. As he said at “The Pat McAfee Show,” Cooper will also make his debut as a camera operator on the filmbut.
“I use the camera, which I am very excited for because we did a few things. We went down to Chinatown and it has been fantastic,” Cooper said. He also acknowledged that he “joined the Union” to be a camera operator, probably the international cinematographer’s Guild IATSE LOCAL 600 for camera operators.
