The award season is dead. Long Live Awards season.


You could not find a strong illustration of Hollywood’s changing seasons than will happen next Wednesday, August 27.

Oscars

If we choose winners at Emmys, we are at the opposite end of the price spectrum at Oscars, where the big question is which films will be true challengers. Of the films that have already been released, Ryan Coogler’s “sinner” is the best option for a best image nomination, although some also hope for “F1” as well.

But the next three weeks will see a potential avalanche of new opportunities.
