AEG names Adam Wilkes and Alex Hill to lead international operations


AEG has announced an rejoicing of its international business departments. As part of this change, the company will implement a new management structure.

Adam Wilkes will take responsibility for AEG presents regional operations in the Asia Still Sea and Europe, in the new position as President and CEO of AEG Presents, Europe and Asia-Stilla-Sea. Wilkes, who has helped to build the company’s footprint in the Asia Still Sea region since joining AEG 2011, will take an expanded role and monitor his European regional offices. Wilkes will report to AEG presents chairman and CEO Jay Marciano and will move from Singapore to London later this year.

Alex Hill will rise to adopt leadership for all AEG’s global real estate and site operations outside the United States, in the new position as President and CEO, AEG International. Hill will remain in London and will continue to monitor AEG’s European sports teams and its place and real estate portfolio, including O2 in London and German properties in Berlin and Hamburg. He also takes responsibility for AEG’s new site development and operations in Asia and other international regions outside the United States. After successfully leading AEG’s European operations since 2019 – before serving as COO and CFO – Hill will report to AEG’s President and CEO, Dan Beckerman.

Wilkes and Hill will take their new positions on February 1, 2025.

Wilkes has contributed to building AEG presents the footprint in Asia and the Pacific and turns it into a cornerstone of the company’s global operations. Since joining AEG 2011 as part of the company’s first expansion to Asia, he has played an important role in establishing AEG’s presence in the region. Over the past 15 years, Wilkes has spent major initiatives, including a strategic joint partnership with Frontier Touring, the development of Bangkoks UOB Live and Nagoyas soon open Ig Arena. He has also delivered record-breaking tours with global superstars and main sports competitions, and solidifies AEG presents leadership in the Asia Pacific market.

As president and CEO of AEG International, Hill also provides years of exceptional leadership and focused operational monitoring to his new role. With its successful track record that monitors the growth of AEG’s operations and operation of its marking sites in Europe, Hill will be well suited to ensure the success of new AEG sites coming online in Asia, such as UOB Live in Bangkok and that To open IG Arena in Nagoya, Japan. Hill will also be focused on promoting other ongoing projects such as Bangkok Mall Arena and Arena-anchored Entertainment District project planned for the redevelopment of the Osaka Expo Park.
