Miro Remo’s fantastic portrait of identical twins, ”Better get angry in nature“Took top awards at this year’s Karlovy Vary Film Festival, which means that the festival’s Crystal Globe and a cash price of $ 25,000 will stay home in the Czech Republic.
A hybrid documentary with lots of visual power and also a wise talk of cattle, the film immerses us in daily life in Ondaughj and František Klaipe because they only live with each other (as well as their animals) for companies in their distant homes. Surrounded by the beautiful Šumava forests, their lives are defined by reflections (often literal by the fact that there is a mirror that becomes a haunting but breathtaking way to see their world) about life, death and isolation. While it is visually fantastic, with Remo and his co-cinematographer Dušan Husár work wonders in the humble world of the twins, it is also a deeply funny movie where the two constant bicker.
The festival also gave a jury award to the Iranian drama ”Bid“Who sees writers, director, producer and co -editor Soheil Beiraghi tells the story of a young woman named Seti (Sarvin Zabetian) who tries to find her voice as a singer while government forces are trying to silence her. Beiraghi shared how he met his own oppression during production.
The Best Director Award went to Vytautas Katkus for the movie “The Visitor” and Nathan Ambrosioni for the movie “Out of Love”, while the best actress went to Pia Tjelta for “Don’t Call Me Mama” and the best actor went to àlex Brendemühl for the role in the movie “When a river becomes the sea.” Kateřina Falbrová also got a special jury for the role in the Czech drama ”Broken votes“And the Law Public Award went to”We have to frame it!
