A few weeks ago it was noticed that the only and only Hailey Bieber Possibly launched one lip feed. I worked and thought about my own business, when one of my girlfriends sent me a screenshot of her Instagram story that kept what looked like a Rhode Lip Pencil.

If you know me personally, do you know that I practically look my pants with excitement because I have been waiting for this day for how it feels forever. Bieber (Hailey, not Justin – sorry, but I don’t care about him) is my style icon, my makeup inspiration and my hair goddess. I have loved (almost) Every product she has launchedAnd I was hoping that this one would be no exception.

When I got the official word about Rhode peptide release form ($ 24), I couldn’t wait to get hold of the product. I counted down the days until it finally landed in my mailbox. And yes, I know I sound like me Simp for HaileyAnd the truth is said, I do – but I was ready to judge this product just like any other lippier in my rotation. Which is to say hard, if needed.

What I like with Rhode Peptide Lip Shape

I tested three shades: lifting, pressure and twist. Lift (a soft natural pink) and pressure (a hot pink mauve) is similar to both my natural lip color. Twist, on the other hand, is described as a warm tauge, and it looked pretty brown on my lips. All in all, I felt that all three shades that I tested were very natural and looked good.

The actual product is a little larger and has a more rounded shape than a traditional lip pen. The structure is also a bit creamier and thicker, which made it apply to my lips extremely simple. It reminded me more about a lip chalk than a pen, but it still had a great definition.

It’s a Twist-Up Applicator, so you don’t have to deal with tightening that-a large bonus, in my opinion.

How to use Rhode Peptide

The brand recommends that you slide the product along the contour of your lips and then take the silicone mud (built on the other end of the pipe) to spread the shade or clean up the edges.

I am not a big fan of feeding my lips, so when I use this product I choose to feed my lips and then smear it with my finger. (I don’t love the Silicone Smud to mix because I think it removes too much product.)

I like to follow it up with a little aquaphor if I go for a more low -key look. Otherwise, I use a glossy shine or my Rhode Peptide release treatment directly at the top.

What to think about before testing the Rhode Peptide release form

The Rhode peptide release form is one of the creamiest lip feed products I have tested. I love how smooth it goes and how easy it is to mix. But since it is so creamy, I think it doesn’t last as long as I would like.

My notch to fix this is to make sure my lips are completely clean and free from the product before I apply, and then I like to take a little transparent powder and drop it on my mouth with a powder puff. From there I apply my lip feed and then go over it with a lip gloss.
