Isabela Merced, Daniella Pineda among 2025 NHMC Impact Awards Honorees


Isabela Merced, Phil Lord and Daniella Pineda are among the people who will be honored at 2025 National Hispanic Media Coalition Impact Awards Gala, which will take place on June 6 at Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills.

Merced, which plays in HBO’s “The Last of Us” and will soon be shown in James Gunn’s “Superman”, will receive Next Generation Impact Award. Pineda will be given the award for excellent achievements For her performance in “The Accountant 2.” Director, producer and writer Phil Lord (“Spider -Vers” trilogy, “Los Friagis”) will take home Visionary Impact Award.

Also honored: Cris Abreco, co -founder and CEO of Hyphenate Media Group and chairman of Television Academy, with Leadership Impact Award; Wwe Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio with Legend Impact Award; AppleTV+ series “Acapulco” with Authentic Storytelling Impact Award; and Netflix’s “Cobra Kai” with Ensemble Impact Award.

“We are proud to honor these visionary leaders who not only break obstacles but to build new ways for creative to thrive,” said Brenda Victoria Castillo, President and CEO of NHMC, in a statement on Wednesday. “Our Honorees are deeply rooted in the future of our culture. They represent brilliance, power and boundless potential in our society. At a time when visibility is resistance, it is not only celebrating our society – it is an explanation. NHMC is committed to ensuring that our stories are not only told, but centered in every space.”

Last year, Issa López, Harvey Guillén and Tatyana Ali were among the people recognized by NHMC, who describe their mission as an attempt “to highlight the importance of exact, just and positive representation in the media.”
